The three-day cultural, experiential festival “Routes in Marpissa” which was born out of a group of volunteers aiming to highlight the authentic character of the homonymous picturesque settlement, celebrates its tenth year this year. Every year, at the core of the event are tours at backyards, churches, plateaus and utility buildings that highlight the characteristic traditional architecture, the unique environment and rich folklore culture of the Cycladic village. In addition to the thematic routes there are modern art exhibitions, games, music and theatre events, workshops and speeches, all of course culminating in a traditional island celebration.
